After the strict Covid restrictions for the past 2 years, sports and events have been resumed for students to take part in. We visited a few schools where our matches were held and ended off the season with a tournament. Before the matches, I have always felt anxious about what is yet to come. However, I felt that the trainings we had made me feel more confident and aware of how I could perform. This is my second time being in the football team and my aim was to improve on my passing as well as communication skills. Despite the short season, I am glad that I spent my time playing football with my fellow teammates and coaches who has given each other support.

There were two events on the same day which was the Farmers Market and CAS Showcase. This was the first breakdance club performance and I felt excited as well as nervous at the same time. We spent less than a month to prepare and practice the choreography, every Monday and during free periods. My favourite part of this choreography was the intro and my freestyle. Freestyle dance is a piece that I normally would not look forward to as it requires improvisation. Yet, the support from my friends and teacher gave me the confidence to showcase what I have learnt so far. I really appreciate the piece that our teacher has put in and believing in all of us.
Learning Outcomes:

Towards the end of my first semester of senior year, the seniors performed during International Day! We spent about 3 to 4 weeks of preparation for this event. Firstly, we planned and voted songs that we would like to perform together. Also, we considered songs from different cultures and countries such as Korea, Japan, India and Thailand. We had dance practices after school whenever we have time to spare as well as practicing at home. The biggest challenge that I experienced was remembering the dance steps for 4 songs, especially when the songs can be quite fast. Moreover, the style of dances are different for each songs. With the guidance from my friends, I gained more clarity in the dance steps and positions besides watching dance videos at a slower speed. Regardless, we always keep in mind that we should always have fun while performing.
