Tim Guill, M.A., LPC, NCC
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor here in Boise, and I've been playing tabletop role-playing games since 1992 — long before I ever thought of them as a clinical tool.
I hold a master's degree in Counseling with a focus on addiction and recovery, and I work as a therapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, addiction recovery, and identity development, using evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, and ACT.
Alongside my clinical work, I also teach in higher education, which has shaped how I think about learning: people grow not by being lectured at, but by doing, trying, failing safely, and trying again.
Adventurers Wanted is where that belief and my lifelong love of tabletop games meet — a structured, clinically grounded group that uses a hobby I've loved for over thirty years to help teens and young adults practice the skills that carry into everyday life.
My approach at the table is grounded, warm, and a little irreverent. I want group to feel like a place you actually want to show up to on a Saturday — even as we're doing real clinical work together.
