Is This Group For Me?

This group tends to be a good fit for teens and young adults who want to build confidence, communication, and connection — especially if traditional talk therapy alone hasn't felt like the right fit, or if you're looking for something more active and experiential.

You don't need any tabletop experience. You don't need to be "good" at games. You just need to be willing to show up and try.

What we screen for

Because this is a group, fit matters for everyone at the table. Before joining, every applicant completes a 30-minute individual screening — in person or via telehealth — to make sure the group is an appropriate clinical fit for your current needs and goals.

Screening isn't about excluding people — it's about making sure this specific format is the right tool for what you're looking for. During your screening, we're mainly checking that you're able to participate comfortably in a group setting, that your current needs match what this group offers (a skills-based, experiential group — not crisis intervention or a higher level of care), and that you're comfortable with the format itself: spending two hours a week in a collaborative, story-driven setting.

If this group isn't the right fit right now, we'll do our best to help point you toward other resources.
