Welcome to Wellesley High School!
WHS is a public high school located in Wellesley, Massachusetts, known for its strong academics, supportive community, and wide range of extracurriculars. Students benefit from small class sizes, dedicated teachers, and access to advanced coursework, including AP and honors classes. The school offers a variety of clubs, sports teams, arts programs, and service opportunities. With a focus on student well-being and future planning, Wellesley High provides a welcoming environment where students are challenged, supported, and encouraged to explore their interests.
If you have yet to visit the school, you can watch this introductory virtual tour given by members of the New Student Ambassadors.
Tours for prospective families & students are available at 2:45pm, immediately after school dismissal (typically on Thursdays). New Student Ambassadors meet families in the Main Office and guide them through the school while offering the student perspective. If you would like a tour, please contact the Director of School Counseling, Margaret Walendin. WHS does not provide the opportunity for prospective students to "shadow" a current student for a day.
Once you decide your student will attend WHS, your first step is to register your student at the Central Administration Office with the Registrar. Please make sure you have an official copy of your transcript. Once cleared through Central Office your student's file will come to the High School and be assigned a House and School Counselor. School Counselors are available to meet with students and families only after the registration process is complete.
In advance of meeting with your School Counselor we encourage you to check out this helpful New Student & Parent Help Sheet. Many of your questions will be answered on how to set up a lunch account, transportation, etc. We also encourage you to review the Program of Studies, on the WHS website, for courses your student would like to consider registering for. This will expedite your appointment.
Our New Student Ambassadors also wanted to share their tips on how to make your transition to WHS as smooth as possible.
