COUNSELING WITHIN WHS
If you are experiencing any type of social, emotional or mental health issues, please contact your School Counselor. Please also see us if you are worried about a friend or family member. The counseling department at Wellesley High School has a number of resources for students and their families who are in need of support services.
The Bridge program works with Wellesley High School students who are returning from a hospital and/or treatment center due to emotional or medical reasons. We help students and their families manage the reentry and reintegration to school by supporting their academic, social and emotional needs.
Bridge is a short-term program and students typically participate for up to twelve weeks.
Bridge may also support students that have not been hospitalized but are regularly missing school and class time due to emotional issues. We use a strengths based model and work hard to build trust and communication with students.
Cheryl Wheeler, is a licensed clinician who is available to meet with all students. Her office is located in the Bradford House on the second floor. wheelerc@wellesleyps.org, x4513
