Weekend News With Bunny hoplet

We send home a plastic bunny every weekend with children on a rotating basis. The bunny's name is Bunny Hoplet. Please take good care of the bunny for the weekend and bring him back on the next school day with a story to share about Little Cottontail's adventures with your child. This works well if you send a photo from what they did, so please send a photo or draw a picture with your child about the event. It can be as simple as eating dinner or playing with a favorite toy. Please e-mail me the photo, send in a photo, or draw a picture and send it in.

This activity is a great way to build language skills (retelling events in order; using description), cognitive skills (making connections between ideas), and social skills (sharing information with teachers and peers).
