2026-2031 Library Plan Goals

Goal #1: Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment: 

Help students and staff use AI responsibly, creatively and transparently and teach the human side of artificial intelligence:

• How will we interact with AI?

•  How will AI affect our family lives and our jobs?

• How will AI affect us socially and emotionally?

Goal #2:  Use of Space and Time: 

Re-imagine the library as a flexible, imaginative, creative and inclusive space for staff, students, and community:

• New tables on wheels (that can be locked) for MHS IMC that can be moved for ease of collaboration, meetings, community classes, whatever is needed

• Add a "library of things" for checking out items beyond books-STEM kits, musical instruments, telescope, baking set-cookie cutters, rolling pin, recipe book, outdoor gear, snowshoes, tent, fishing pole

• add wall games, display student work, replace trees at MHS IMC, add wall art (student-made?), wall decals

• Transform existing shelves to add more forward-facing shelving so students can see book covers
