The Learner-Centered Literacies gear is at the center of the Future Ready Librarian Framework. Students are the purpose for both teaching and library planning. Student learning and empowerment has been and will continue to be at the heart of all decisions made in the Webster School District library program.Â
The Learner-Centered Literacies gear instructs school librarians to:
Develop students' skills to access, evaluate, and create content across print and digital formats while promoting critical thinking and literacies skills including media, information, digital, news, financial, health, and artificial intelligence
Protect the Freedom to Read
Ensure all students have access to a variety of high-quality, comprehensive and varied print and digital resources
