Goal #1: Support the reading lives of both students and teachers

ES Data 2022-2025

What we have done at district libraries to meet goal #1:

increased average age of collections by by 5 years (ES) & 3 years (MHS) by weeding outdated titles
added Novel Effect for entire district-an app that adds music and sound effects to read alouds
added a picture book library at MHS to facilitate Novel Effect as well as give kids at all levels easy access to reading materials
added VOX books to MHS collection-physical books that read aloud
Recently added a BookBreak subscription (a virutal author talk program) for grades 4K-12

Goal #2. Provide information literacy curriculum and instruction

What we have done to reach goal #2:

Implemented new 2025 Common Sense Media Digital Literacy and Well-Being curriculum
Utilized Neptune Navigate: an interactive, age-appropriate online digital citizenship program featuring videos, games and quizzes
Purchased several new picture books that help teach information literacy concepts and added them to Media lessons
