Welcome to the beginning of your band journey! The 5th Grade Band is where students take their first steps in learning to play an instrument. In this supportive and fun environment, you will build the fundamentals of instrumental music and begin developing the skills that will carry you through the rest of the program.

5th grade students receive one small-group lesson per 6-day cycle during 8th period activities block
LESSON SCHEDULE
A1: Flute
A2: Clarinet
A3: Saxophone
B4: Trumpet
B5: Low Brass - Trombone & Baritone
B6: Percussion
* Gifted & Talented Students (Saxophone, Trumpet, Percussion): Lessons are scheduled during 6th period lunch/recess. Mrs. Graff will confirm times with you at the start of each semester.

Full-band rehearsals are scheduled closer to concerts during 8th period activities block.
These rehearsals prepare students to perform together as an ensemble for the first time.
