Day 5: Christopher Columbus
Students will be introduced to the explorer named Christopher Columbus. Students will watch a little introduction video on who Columbus is and then take part in a group activity. Students will be grouped into groups of three and they will all be tasked with creating a timeline. Students will be given a variety of sources to do research on Christopher Columbus, then they will work in their groups to construct a timeline that includes an event, a description, and visuals.

Day 6: Christopher Columbus Debate
Students will be introduced to the activity of a debate as well as the outline of debates. Students will watch a little introduction video on what a debate is then be separated into two group. Each group of students will be given a favor side in the debate. A group will either be in favor that Christopher Columbus was a good guy or in favor that Columbus was not a good guy. They will be given a variety of sources to do research on Christopher Columbus, then they will work in their groups to construct a debate outline. Students will finally take part in a debate on Christopher Columbus.
