Local Extracurricular Art Experiences

Located in Garrison, New York, The Garrison Art Center, or as we call it, GAC, offers a variety of experiences for artists of all ages and abilities. Classes and exhibitions change and vary regularly, so check their website for more information.

Located right in Wappingers, the River Valley Arts Center nurtures a culture of creativity with a variety of opportunities for students, including classes and exhibitions. Outside of what we think of traditionally when we say "art," the River Valley Arts center also hosts experiences with technology and theatre.

The National Scholastic Art Competition is open to all school aged students. Students attending the Wappingers Central School District may submit work free of cost! NSAC offers a variety of awards and scholarships to participants, as well as the opportunity to have your artwork juried at a professional level. See our show in the late Spring at SUNY New Paltz!
