Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What do I wear on the first day of school?
A: Until uniforms are in, students should be in spirit wear. This is apparel representing their home school district, or the 3 E’s – enlistment, employment, or enrollment. Students will also receive 4 WCSCC t-shirts on the first day of school to help them be dress code compliant. Things to avoid: shorts, dresses/skirts, sweatpants, and pajama pants. Other dress code options will be in Principal Brown's summer letter. Think about preparing for your career - be professional! Each student will be issued a locker to keep their backpacks and possessions in during the school day. If students want to carry a backpack from class to class, it must be clear or mesh.
Q: What supplies do I need to bring on the first day?
A: A notebook and pen/pencil. During the first week of school, your teachers will let you know if they would like you to have any other supplies.
Q: What time does school start/end?
A: Start time is 8:05 am and dismissal is at 2:31 pm.
Q: How much is breakfast and lunch?
A: Breakfast is $2.00 per day and lunch is $3.50 per day unless you qualify for free/reduced lunch.
Q: What kind of backpack is allowed?
A: Please make sure to have a clear or mesh backpack if you want to carry your bag from class to class. If your bag is not clear or mesh, it must be kept in your locker during school hours.
Q: Where do I go to catch my bus at the end of the day?
A: At the end of the school day, come to the front of the building to catch your bus. Several staff members will be standing at the front of the building with a sign to let you know where your bus is in the lineup.
Q: How do I find out about my bus route?
A: Please contact your homeschool’s transportation department for all bussing questions.
Q: My homeschool’s first day is different than WCSCC’s calendar. Which calendar do I follow?
A: You are expected to follow WCSCC’s calendar. This is true for the first day of school, last day of school, and all breaks.
Q: When/where do I pay fees?
A: Fees will be assessed after the first ten days of the school year. Invoices for fees will be mailed out in late September with the first payment due in October. Fees can be paid in the front office.
Q: I play in the band and need to leave early for practice. What do I do?

Q: Can I change to be a half day student?
A: Because part time options differ by trade and school, please contact your WCSCC Counselor for more information on this.
Q: How do I change my trade?
A: Please contact your WCSCC Counselor for more information on this.
Q: When will I receive my laptop?
A: Laptops will be distributed the first week of school.
Q: Where do I buy a parking pass?
A: You will not need a parking pass the first few weeks of the school year. An announcement will be made once we start selling parking passes.
