2020-2021

Expected Outcomes

A strong school library program connects students to the world around them through research and inquiry, and by supporting a climate and culture of reading. These connections are made through collaborative lessons and programming that integrate information and technology skills with classroom curriculum, through the curation of relevant and reliable print and digital resources, and by empowering students in the 4C’s.

We selected/continued with the Focus Area of Curriculum and Instruction to align with our School Improvement Goals for the 2020-2021 school year.

Due to the Global COVID-19 Pandemic, we did not write specific outcomes for this school year. Our MTAC goals were as follows:

  • Stay up-to-date with technology changes as students move between in-person and virtual learning

  • Adjust technology in the building to meet the needs of teachers when changes occur

  • Set guidelines for book checkout that meet safety protocols while allowing checkout to continue for all students

  • Continue to share digital tools across grade levels that meet the needs of both virtual and in-person instruction

  • Plan for ways to continue our newly acquired digital skills into the 2021-2022 school year
