High School Registration

Welcome to the High School Registration Hub. We look forward to working with you throughout the registration process. 

Now-December: Lessons #1-4 (See below) with your child and Magnet School & Early College Visits

Oct 14-Dec 12: Early College Application Window 

Oct 14-Jan 23: Magnet School Application Window

January: More specific information will be disseminated about the registration timeline, and High School Open Houses begin.

February - March: High School Student Lessons. In the next lesson, students will learn about the high school registration process and courses offered at their school. They will come home with a colored folder, which contains worksheets from previous lessons and your child’s course selection sheet for 9th grade (Tr 1: Green, Tr 3: Yellow, Tr. 4: Purple). There is time between the first lesson and second lesson for you to attend open houses and information sessions, ask questions, see teacher recommendations, and discuss your child’s choices as a family. Students will review their course selections and register for classes with the counselors in the following lesson. Lesson Dates: Track 1: 1/29 & 2/25, Track 3: 1/22 & 2/27, Track 4: 2/4 & 3/4.

February 18: Virtual PHMS Parent Information Sessions. Please join the PHMS counselors to learn about the registration process, details of the high school transition, and how we will be assisting your family.

Feb 13 - Mar 14: The registration window opens on Powerschool. Your child will register in lesson #6. There is plenty of time to view recommendations, research course options, and make changes to your child's registration. 

Mar 3 - Mar 14: WCPSS Transfer Period (If you are requesting your child attends a school other than your assigned base school. Please see the WCPSS website for more information.) Results will be available via email/text within 7-10 business days. 

August 25: First day of high school for traditional calendar schools.
