The test request window for Track 4 will open at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time on the first day of the test request window and close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the last day of the request window.

Determine which one subject your child will be assessed in (Mathematics or English Language Arts).
Complete the Central Services SSA Test Request Form* that aligns with your student’s school calendar.
*All requests submitted outside of the student’s testing request windows will not be processed. Once the Google Form is completed, you will receive a confirmation message. If you do not receive a confirmation email please email the Advanced Learning Services team at ssa@wcpss.net.

CLOSED- November 24, 2025- Spring Testing Nomination Window Opens Tuesday, 11/25/25:
The Spring AIG testing nomination window will open on 11/25/25 at 8:00am for ALL tracks. If you would like to nominate your student for the AIG Identification process, please follow the steps outlined here.
The nomination window dates are below. Please adhere to the time frame as these dates align with WCPSS testing dates. (Nominations received after the testing window will be placed into the Fall 2026 testing group.)

The nomination Google Form will open for nominations on Tuesday, 11/25/25 at 8:00am and close at 5:00pm on the last day of the nomination window.
August 2, 2025- Fall Testing Nomination Window for Tracks 1 & 2 is now closed:
The Fall AIG testing nomination window for Track 1 & 2 students is now closed. Nominations will be accepted throughout the 2025-2026 school year. Students will only be tested, however, within the WCPSS AIG testing windows. Nominations received after the testing window for your student's track will be placed into the Spring 2026 testing group.

October 9, 2024- 4th & 5th grade Spring nomination window

August 12, 2024 - Parents and Guardians of AIG Identified & Talent Development Students in Grade 4 and 5
Attention parents and guardians of identified AIG students in grades 4 and 5! I will be hosting two "What does AIG look like at Oak Grove ES?" meetings. See the days and times below. My goals are to introduce myself, review our AIG program at Oak Grove and to answer any questions you may have. You may attend either meeting, please only attend one. (There is also be a virtual meeting option if you are unable to attend an in-person meeting.) In addition, I will also post an informational slide deck on the "4th & 5th grade AIG" page of this website for any family who is unable to attend one of the meetings.

August 12th, 2024 - Welcome to the new year!
Welcome back Otter families! I am so excited for this new year and all the opportunities it will bring your gifted students. Today marks the 6th week since the 24-25 school year began and most AIG students in grades 4 and 5 have begun their AIG direct service. (Track 4 begins this week due to the weather day.) AIG students meet with the AIG teacher once a week in each identified area for 45 minutes. During this time we work on different learning opportunities that stretch our thinking. All learning opportunities are aligned to grade level standards in math and reading. Please check this page often for news & announcements.
