Course Objectives

In Intro To Chorus, students will accomplish the following goals:

• Recognize and demonstrate the proper vocal technique for singing.

• Learn basic rhythm and pitch notation.

• Learn how to sight-sing in the key of C Major.

• Participate in a showcase for parents at the end of the quarter.

Grading Policy

40%-Classwork

• Students can earn 20 points daily for performing the following tasks:

  • • 5 points for performing the following at the beginning of class:

      • Getting your chorus binder.

      • Having a pencil out.

      • Being in your seat ready to start by the time the bell rings.

    • 5 points for participating in warm ups.

    • 5 points for participating and making positive contributions during rehearsal.

    • 5 points for performing the following at the end of class:

      • Putting away your chorus binder.

      • Putting away any classroom materials you borrowed.

      • Packing up your belongings.
