Course Objectives
In Apprentice Chorus, students will accomplish the following goals:
Recognize and demonstrate the fundamental techniques for singing.
Sight-sing a variety of repertoire in C Major, F Major, and G Major.
Independently sing in unison and two part harmony.
Participate in performances within the school and community.
Classroom Expectations
Please arrive on time to class each day!
All students are expected to follow the ROAR Expectations.
Bathroom Policy:
You may use the bathroom at the beginning or during the last ten minutes of class.
One person may go at a time.
Ask for permission first to use the bathroom.
Fill out the bathroom sign out sheet before leaving to go and when you
return from the bathroom.
Be sure to take the bathroom pass with you.
Cell Phone Policy:
Cell phones should be on silent and in your bookbags during class
unless given permission to use them.
If I see or hear your phone, it will be taken away until the end of class.
Grading Policy
40%-Classwork
Students can earn three points daily towards their classwork grade for accomplishing the following tasks:
Following arrival procedures.
Making positive contributions to the group during rehearsal.
Following dismissal procedures.
Points will be deducted if students are not making positive contributions during class.
