Course Objectives

In choral ensemble, students will be accomplishing the following goals:

• Demonstrate the proper vocal technique when singing.

• Sight-sing in multiple major and minor keys.

• Sing two and three-part harmony.

• Perform within the school, within the community, at the state level, and out of state.

Grading Policy

40%-Classwork

• Students can earn three points daily towards their classwork grade for accomplishing the following tasks:

  • • Completing all warm up activities.

    • Actively participating in whole group instruction.

    • Completing independent work and/or putting all materials back at the end of class.

60%-Tests, Quizzes, Performances

• Rhythm Assessments

• Sight-Singing Assessments

• Part-Singing Assessments
