This is my fourth year at Ligon Middle School as an 8th-grade ELA teacher. Prior to this, I taught high school English in Alamance County, NC. (That's my mom on the left!)

I have a 7-year-old miniature, long-haired dachshund. His name is Buchanan and he is very dramatic. His favorite hobbies are napping and playing fetch. His favorite treat is a banana.

I have been a fan of the Carolina Hurricanes since 2006. But I do love all hockey and I follow the NHL season very closely. Go Canes!
