Week 1: Learned about the properties and particle structures of solids, liquids and gases.
Week 3: Students began learning about changing states of matter. They did an ice cube challenge experiment to explore that melting is adding heat to a solid in order for it to become a liquid.
Week 4: Students explored how liquids become gases (evaporation) and how gases become liquids (condensation).
Week 5: Students learned the difference between physical and chemical changes.
Students from Mrs. Hairfield and Mrs. Boose's class came to play our games!
Week 6-7: We will start force and motion! Students will learn about push, pull, friction, and gravity. They will make their own game using all these forces!
These topics will also be the basis of our field trip to United Skates!
Week 8: Students began to plan their own games and how to construct them. They will have to identify how the four differnt forces are present in their game.
Week 9: They've been working on building their games!
Here they are working hard!
We will be working with our plant curriculum throughout the year.
Here are our plants so far!
