Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the Ligon GT Chorus program for the 2025-2026 school year! All singers are welcome, no matter their experience level! Apprentice Chorus (beginning) does not require an audition. Intermediate and Honors Chorus Ensembles REQUIRE an audition or previous chorus experience.

Resonance and Placement
Accuracy: Pitches, rhythms, and intervals are sung accurately. Pulse is consistent throughout.
Intonation: Sings on pitch consistently. Pitch is centered, accurate and secure.
Diction: All words pronounced clearly, and vowels shaped appropriately.
Breath: Inhalation is visible and consistent. Exhalation is supportive throughout the natural line of the phrase.
Physical Alignment
Musicality: Phrasing, Dynamics, Expression, and Articulation
Vocal Production: Capable of singing alone and as a member of the ensemble confidently
Blend: Singers listens louder than they sing, matching the tone quality of the ensemble
