2024-2025 Placement Audition Information

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the Ligon GT Chorus program for the 2024-25 school year! All singers are welcome, no matter their experience level! Apprentice Chorus (beginning) does not require an audition. Intermediate and Honors Chorus Ensembles REQUIRE an audition or previous chorus experience. 

Chorus Placement Audition Process

1. With your responsible adult, complete the Google Form to indicate your interest in auditioning for chorus placement ABOVE Apprentice Chorus

2. Review the following video audition requirements. You will submit a video audition using this Google Form to complete all the audition requirements:

   • Sing "My Country 'tis of Thee" in F Major using this accompaniment link. Here is a great practice video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP8z2jAxiag  **Please note this video is SLOWER than the accompaniment. Be sure to practice with both.

   • Videos are due by March 1  MARCH 7! Deadline extended!

     • If you are choosing to join AFTER the elective fair on March 7, please submit audition videos by March 19 for review. THANK YOU!

   • Your video should show your entire body.
