Google for Education (@GoogleForEdu) offers a series of certifications that you as a teacher/staff member can work towards. They offer free training modules (new!) for practice, then you can take the certification tests. In the slide show on this page, you can find out more about the certifications offered, see sample test items, and more.

Interested in CEUs? The WCPSS HR department together with WCPSS ITLMS designed a process to request WakeLearns CEUs. (find out how to request yours here) WHEN YOU EARN THE CERTIFICATIONS (this method cannot be used if people do not earn their certs). What are the steps?

  2. Take the certification test ($$--but look for discounts!)

  3. Level 1 and Level 2 Certified? Receive 0.8 (Level 1) and 1.2 (Level 2) for these certifications. Click here for information.

Kyte Learning Modules

Kyte recently released a series of modules focused on Google Certified Educator, Level 1. You can find the modules here: https://app.kytelearning.com/library/collection/1031 . Our inclusion here is not an endorsement of the modules, as we still encourage you to review the official Google modules as well, but these will definitely assist you in preparing to take the GCE 1 exam. Check back soon as Kyte is preparing a module series on GCE 2.
