A strong school library program connects students to the world around them through research and inquiry, and by supporting a climate and culture of reading. These connections are made through collaborative lessons and programming that integrate information and technology skills with classroom curriculum, through the curation of relevant and reliable print and digital resources, and by empowering students in the 4C’s.
Expected Outcome #1:
Over the course of the 21/22 academic year, MTAC will help to promote collaboration between the media specialist and classroom teachers. The media specialist will collaborate with at least 70% of the teachers in all grade levels and departments through lessons, resources and activities.
*The media specialist will attend Professional Development workshops geared toward supporting curriculum and instruction.
*The media specialist will create Destiny Collections for teachers to support their instructional units.
*The media specialist will collaborate with at least 70% of teachers in all grade levels and departments on at least one lesson this school year.
*The media specialist will attend department and PLTs to support teachers in their curriculum.
