19/20 Evidence and Reflection

Objective 1

Over the course of the 19/20 academic year, MTAC will help to promote collaboration between the media specialist and classroom teachers. The media specialist will collaborate with all subject areas in at least one lesson this school year.

Reflection:

This year definitely ended differently with going to all online learning beginning in March. I usually have classes visiting through the end of the year. I had to adjust my focus on how I could best serve our students and staff. I visited PLTs virtually to get a grasp on what things they may need help with in their classes. I created Destiny Collections for research projects and gave teachers different options on project artifacts for their students.

*Author Visit, Trenton Lee Stewart, in collaboration with Quail Ridge Bookstore, visited our entire 6th grade to promote his books and literacy.

Reflection:

I really enjoyed doing the parent/student book club. It gave me time to spend with families in discussing books & doing some fun activities. The students enjoyed it as well. The author visit was also a huge success and something I want to do again. It was difficult in having to only include one grade level to participate, but it was something everyone enjoyed.
