This year has definitely presented many challenges due to COVID-19. Teachers had to quickly learn many new technology programs to pivot to virtual learning. The media specialist created Screencastify videos to assist teachers and students on learning how to tackle technology programs and issues. The media specialist created a staff tech web page to have quick access to solving problems. She also assisted parents and students by created help websites and newsletters for them as well.

The media specialist worked with all grade level Social Studies classes to discuss Fake News, plagiarism and online research resources in several lessons throughout the year. It assisted students in finding credible resources for their research projects. Students learned what signs to look for when determining if a website is credible or not.
