Write and practice the script first.
Sound: The microphone works well if the room is small and quiet. Test a few shots in a busy room or hallway to make sure you can hear voices loud and clear.
Stability: Use a tripod or steady table for stability.
Background: Look for a colorful background instead of a white hallway. OR use the Green Screen app.
Open iMovie on iMac or MacBook (Login: student Password: rcms )
Take the SD card out of the back of the camera, put in back of the iMac or the side of the MacBook Pro
Click on the down arrow of the file to "import"
Click on "SD Card" along left where it says "Project Media"
Import all, wait for download, pizza timer will show how much time has elapsed
Do file upload and then find the file. It must be: MP4, MPEG-2, DV, HDV, and MOV
Open iMovie on iMac or MacBook (Student Laptop Login: student Password: rcms )
Attach the iPad with lightning cable, don't let it open iTunes, you don't need it.
You'l see the name of the iPad come up (school ipads are named with a number.)
Click on the down arrow of the file to "import" (see image -->)
All videos from iPad will show. Select the ones you might use and cut from
In the bottom right of that window, choose "Import Selected," wait for download to complete. Pizza timer will show how much time has elapsed
Google Slides saved as a png will be the best size for your iMovie project.
Open Google Slides
Add a Background Image and text - use big FONT and BOLD with good colors.
If it's the background for a green screen, leave room for reporters to sit in the middle or side.
Save the image one slide at a time as .png

Trim clips and ends - using “Modify” drop down menu, “Trim Clips” to edit beginning/ending, and take out bad spots
Audio - add background audio and adjust volume as needed
Titles - drag your favorite onto the timeline,
Backgrounds
Transitions - drag between the clips of film
Edit Sound levels, speed, brightness
