6th Grade Elective Registration Information
6th Grade students will have the opportunity to choose Band -OR- or the Exploratory Elective experience. Students who sign up for Band will receive Beginning Band for the entire school year. Students that register for the Exploratory Elective experience will receive 2 Career and Technical Education (CTE) exploratory electives -AND- 2 Fine Arts exploratory electives.
Please contact your elementary school counselor about the registration timeline.

Beginning Band
Ms. Burrell is our band teacher and can teach you how to play many instruments! Even if you've never played an instrument before, she will teach you how to play and how to read music.

Exploratory Elective Experience
When registering in PowerSchool for the Exploratory Elective Experience, students will select two primary CTE electives and one alternate CTE elective -AND- will select two primary Fine Arts electives and one alternate Fine Arts Elective.

Welcome, future panthers! We know you have been anticipating your middle school experience for a long time and we are so excited to welcome you all to Davis Drive Middle School. I am Mrs. Young and I will be your counselor for all 3 years of your middle school experience for students starting the 2024-2025 school year. I am SO excited to be a part your journey on this roller coaster that is the adventure of middle school.
School counselors provide students with individual, small group, classroom guidance, and parent/teacher collaboration. We are dedicated to ensuring your social, emotional, and academic growth toward success!
