The Panther PULSE program is geared toward Promoting Unity, Leadership, and Student Engagement at DDMS. Formerly known as the Student Ambassador Program, Panther PULSE is a student-driven leadership program at Davis Drive Middle School sponsored by the Student Services Department. Panther PULSE members serve as role models within DDMS by showing leadership, good judgment, maturity, honesty, and integrity while upholding their responsibilities of being a student.
Interested students will complete a DDMS Panther PULSE Application at the start of the school year. A completed application is required for a student to become part of the Panther PULSE program.
Panther PULSE members will have the opportunity to:
Serve as "buddies" to new students
Assist with conducting tours for new students and (at times) prospective families
Assist with Panther Pride Camp, Open House, and/or Curriculum nights
Participate in community service projects
Help students and teachers during SMART Block
Help out with other opportunities as they arise throughout the school year
The Panther PULSE will meet once a month as a large group during SMART Block, usually on a Friday during the month. Attendance at these meetings is mandatory unless otherwise discussed between the student and their counselors. Grade-level PULSE meetings will be determined as needed. All large-group Panther PULSE meetings will be held during SMART Block, unless otherwise noted.
