Hi!  I’m Tammy Oberdorf and I am very excited to join the Barton Pond Elementary community as a 5th grade ELA teacher.  

I am originally from Huntington, West Virginia and a proud graduate of Marshall University.  I’ve lived in Raleigh since 2001 and obtained my master’s degree in Reading from East Carolina University in 2015.  I have taught both 3rd and 5th grades at various schools in Wake County for a little over 12 years now.  

In my spare time, I’m usually with my husband watching my two kids play softball and baseball.  Also, I enjoy gardening, hiking, reading and hanging out with our dog, Stanley.
