Q: What should I do if a parent or a guardian of an enrolled student challenges an instructional material?

A: Turn the complaint over to the principal. Let your media staff know because they can help you with the process.

Q: How can I support this process?

1. Know the policy & regulation code 3210. Also see.

2. Read/know the instructional material fully.

3. Continue teaching as normal until instructed otherwise.

4. Contact your librarian/MTAC committee. They will help you complete the Reconsideration Form that must be submitted by the parent/guardian before the process can begin. (Please note a parent/guardian MUST have a student enrolled at ADMHS in order to submit a form and the material in question must be located in the ADMHS library.)

5. Back up any statements with thoughtful research.
