Submitting your First Year Application
My Colleges Tab
Mobile App
Many colleges use Common App. You can create a student account at commonapp.org and begin your applications!
Common App allows you to select the colleges you plan to apply to and you can see your progress in the "Dashboard" tab to ensure you are aware of what is incomplete.
It also has a help section on the right side, as you can see in the image, to help you navigate the application process with ease.
The "My Colleges" tab allows you to view deadline information, contact information for admissions, and different requirements that the college has for its applicants. Make sure to review all of this information so that you can ensure you submit a complete application with all the required material.
The boxes to the left will check off as you complete each step.
The "Common App" tab will consist of all your personal and educational information. As you complete a tab the boxes on the left will check off to let you know that all required information has been filled out.
Even though your counselor will send in your transcript, you will still need to fill out information about your GPA, class rank, class schedule, etc.
If you need any help navigating this site, make sure to check out the tutorial on the right of that page!
If you qualify for any of the indicators listed, you can waive your application fees via common app. You will need to select "Yes" when asked if you qualify for an application fee waiver.
