While you ' re in school, you can also get a minor, which requires less coursework, but can allow you to gain exposure to a specific subject area you're interested in.

HOW DO I DECIDE WHAT I WANT TO MAJOR IN?
One of the best ways to pick your major is by asking yourself what you 'd like to do in your career. Do you want to work for a newspaper? Major in journalism! Interested in becoming a veterinarian? Major in animal sciences! Want to work on Wall Street? Major in economics or finance! Do you hope to work in Hollywood? Major in visual and media studies! Follow these passions, and it can make your college experience much more enjoyable. Do you have multiple career interests? You can choose to double major.
