Teachers who have fever of 100.4℉ or above or shows signs of illness will not be admitted to the facility.

Temperature and symptom checks will be completed as teachers arrive. A buddy system will be used to verify the temperature and symptom checks.

Teachers must confirm they have not take fever-reducing medication in the last 24 hours and do not have shortness of breath, sore throat, or a cough. Teachers who have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 should remain at home until the Return-to-School Certification is verified.

A visual inspection of the teacher for signs of illness, such as shortness of breath or cough will be made.

If a teacher registers a temperature of 100.4 or higher, their temperature will be taken a second time 5-10 minutes later. If the second reading is 100.4 or above teacher will be sent home.

Students who have fever of 100.4℉ or above or shows signs of illness must not be admitted to the facility.

Temperature checks will be completed as students arrive (in homerooms).

Students or parents/guardian confirm by sending the student to school that the student has not taken fever-reducing medication in the last 24 hours and does not have shortness of breath, sore throat, or a cough. Students who have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 should remain at home for 14 days past their last exposure. (See Exposure and Quarantine Guidelines )

If the student exhibits symptoms without fever, the student will be socially distanced in the classroom and the office will be made aware of the need for further evaluation. The student will be seen in the nurse's office or in the sick room until further evaluation is made. Parent/guardian contact will be made by the school nurse. If the nurse is not available to make contact, the principal or a member of the administrative team will make the contact.

If a student has a temperature of 100.4 or higher, they will be distanced from other students. Their temperature will be taken a second time 5-10 minutes later. If the second reading is 100.4 or above, the office will be notified. The student will either be sent to the school nurse's office or the sick room until further evaluation is made. Parent/guardian contact will be made by the school nurse. If the nurse is not available to make contact, the principal or a member of the administrative team will make the contact.

An area has been created (with capabilities of adult supervision) that can be used to isolate a sick student.

The nurse will notify the parent/guardian of students with fever and/or symptoms. If the nurse is not available to make contact, the principal or a member of the administrative team will make the contact.

The parent/guardian has an obligation to immediately pick-up the student from the campus if the nurse or school administrator calls. Please ensure that all phone numbers on file are accurate to expedite this process.
