Key Club Expectations
All members must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA throughout their high school career.
All members must complete at least 10 hours in Key Club projects per school year. All officers must complete 20 hours.. Members will receive a warning when they are failing to meet these requirements. Failure to complete hours will be grounds for removal.
There is a $20 annual due to be a member in Key Club.
Key Club meetings will begin promptly, and weekly meetings are Thursday mornings (7:20 am) in the library unless instructed otherwise.
The members will sign in each meeting.
Members are allowed 4 meeting absences per school year. If a meeting is going to be missed, the member must email Ms. Poteet prior to the meeting explaining their absence. All absences will be reviewed by the Officer Team and Advisor. A warning will be sent after the second absence. If a member does not meet the required meetings, he/she will be removed. The removed member will be ineligible for the remainder of the year but may reapply for Key Club for the following school year.
All meetings will be called to order, and all motions will need a second to be approved. Meetings will be conducted with respect to each person’s opinion. An open mind is encouraged.
All members must be involved with the Key Club Clothes Closet and CDC or Nursing home community service projects. Members will be called on to fulfill duties and tasks asked of Key Club by the community and administration.
Members will need to be flexible with their time and be willing to work events after school hours (including weekends).
Unacceptable behavior, as outlined in the Student Handbook and/ or Washington County Handbook, will be grounds for removal. School suspension or expulsion shall result in immediate removal from Key Club and constitute removal from Key Club for the remainder of his/her years at David Crockett High School.
Disciplinary action- short of suspension- will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
All community service hours will be reported to the Secretary by the leader of the project committee through a Google Form
Members will be required to check Band and email frequently for updates. Updates will also be available on social media.
Advisor and President will be CC’d on all emails concerning the club and/or projects
