The David Crockett High School Key Club has been under the leadership of Ms. Poteet, who has been the advisor for the past eight years. This year, the club contributed over 1,700 hours of community service. Every year we have more and more applicants and our membership continues to grow. New members are selected based on teacher recommendations, interviews, a 3.5 GPA requirement, and a clean record regarding attendance and discipline. Our officer team also goes through a rigorous interview that involves an application for their individual position and interview from a panel of past and present presidents. Our goal is to build leaders with servants' hearts that will make a positive change not only in our community but in our world.
The Key Club is dedicated to a variety of community service projects, both within the school and out in the wider community. Some of our projects include working with: the Ronald McDonald House, the Washington County Animal Shelter, the Book Drive, CDC Classroom work, Joy Prom, Teacher and Bus Driver Appreciation, and the Spaghetti Dinner. These projects allow our members to work hands-on with our community and gain life experiences that truly show our focus on having a servant's heart.
Our Key Club recorded 1,751.5 hours of community service last year!
Our Key Club is very diverse- You can join Key Club while still participating in other clubs, sports, and school activities!!!
Our average GPA for our members is a 3.9!
