Creating and maintaining effective teams is an integral part of the PBIS implementation process. This section provides resources on research-based teaming techniques to ensure accountability, fidelity, follow through, and reaching your goals. The Teams tab is directly aligned with TFI features of implementation and is formatted to help your site achieve the California Bronze Award for Effective Tier 1 PBIS. Tier 1 features are in blue.
TFI 1.1: Team Composition - Tier 1 team includes a tier one system coordinator, a school administrator, a family member, and individuals able to provide a) applied behavioral expertise, b) coaching expertise, c) knowledge of student academic and behavior patterns, d) knowledge about the operations of the school across grade levels and programs, and for high schools e) student representation.
TFI 1.2: Team Operating Procedures - Tier 1 team meets at least monthly and has a) regular meeting format/agenda, b) minutes, c) defined meeting roles, and d) a current action plan.
