Taxi

The Gett Taxi app is very handy to have downloaded on your phone. Taxis can usually be hailed in the city but in more remote locations, or in the suburbs, you may need to request a cab. You can enter your pick-up and drop-off location. Using Gett ensures the driver uses the meter. You will have to register a credit card to create an account, but you can then opt to pay with your credit card or shekels. It even gives you an option to tip with your credit card (although tipping is not required – it is appreciated). You will be sent a receipt via email.
