Plug the MimioTeach hub into the USB hub on your computer.
Plug the MimioTeach bar into power on the wall or a surge protector strip.
Launch Mimio Notebook.
Hook the projector to the computer.
Projector: A/V Mute turns off the bulb without completely shutting down the projector. Helpful if you plan to use your projector for long periods of time with short breaks.
Freeze makes whatever you are displaying at the time you hit FREEZE stay on your screen. Helpful if you want to check email or pop into SIS without it being projected on your screen.
IF the image you are projecting is not the same as the image on your laptop, go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES - DISPLAYS - ARRANGEMENT - and check the box that says MIRROR DISPLAYS. You MUST be hooked to a projector to do this.
1. Breathe!
2. Make sure Mimio is plugged in to power.
3. Make sure your Mimio hub is plugged into your computer.
4. Make sure Mimio Notebook is open.
Yellow Light on Mimio: Hub is not plugged in to the computer.
Green Flashing Light on Mimio: Mimio Notebook is not open.
Solid Green Light on Mimio: everything is set!
If you are noticing that your Mimio isn't quite working/calibrating in one corner of your board, make sure the Mimio in centered on the projected surface on your whiteboard and that nothing is obstructing the view of the Mimio "Eye" - the plastic half circle on the right hand side of the Mimio... that means magnets, posters, worksheets, etc.
How do I get the little image of the mimioteach bar to disappear from the image on my screen?
Click on FILE - Go down to CONNECT - Click on MIMIO TEACH. It should disappear.
How long with the charge on my pen last?
Mimio claims 200 hrs, but with active use more like 20. It takes 3 hrs to completely charge the pen.
