The iPevo Document Camera runs using IPEVO Visualizer software. It is available in Self Service on the Macs. You can install it from there.
Open the iPevo Software and plug your camera into a USB port on your computer.
Camera Mode: Shows a live image, you can focus and take snapshots.
Review Mode: Shows your snapshots.
Full Screen Mode: Shows live video image in full screen.
The switch on the top of the camera (AF Switch) has 2 settings: C means it will continually focus and S means single focus. Single is much easier to look at. The center button is what you press to focus.
Use the camera button on the top of the camera.
Click on review mode. Right click (control + click) on your images at the bottom and choose Go to Image Folder. From there you can drag your images to Mimio notebook, PowerPoint, other folders.... You can also rename them here.
Make a regular book a BIG BOOK. Instead of holding up a book as you read aloud to students, place it under your camera. This will allow you to point out text components on a larger screen or take snapshots of the book so that you can annotate.
Use it as a microscope. Zoom in on any items you want to share.
Complete a printed worksheet together.
Showcase student work for closer evaluation.
