Less than 1 % of the water on Earth can be used by people, so it is very important that we use water efficiently. You can make a difference by making sure that every drop counts! Solve this Breakout Challenge to learn how to make every drop count! This is a great Family Activity!
Go to the Breakout Challenge (or click on the image)
Solve the puzzles
When you are done, go to the Padlet and share a way you can help conserve water at home
One way to recycle is to reuse the things we already have in creative, new ways. An empty soup can become a pencil holder. If we can't reuse something, we can always donate our items to others instead of throwing things away and continuing to fill our landfills. Some people's trash is treasure to others!
Listen to the story: The Dumpster Diver by Janet Wong
Watch the video about a real "dumpster diver"
When you are done, go to the Padlet and share an example of something you are reusing in a "new" way or something that you could reuse in a "new" way
Note: Do NOT go dumpster diving at home!!!!
Learn a little bit more about what you can do to help keep the Earth healthy by learning about different types of recycling!
Click on the Lightbox Books link.
Type in "The Three Rs" in the white search bar in the top right corner
Read one of the books about different ways to recycle
When you are done, go to the Padlet and share something new you learned about recycling
