Using your sketches school app draw a picture or 2 or 7 from the prompts to the left.
If you would like to share what you drew post on the padlet link. I would love to see your drawings! Mrs. Schmidt will even be posting her pictures!
If you create a funky bunny please take a picture and post to the padlet for Mrs. Schmidt to see!
Instructions:
Print Bunny and glasses on a printer. If you do not have a printer you can draw on white paper.
Trace the outline of the bunny with a black marker.
Choose either straight lines in each section or different patterns. I would suggest lead pencil first and then when the artist is happy, they can go over their lines with a black marker.
Then, color the bunny’s sunglasses. The brighter the better!
Cut out the sunglasses and the bunny.
Glue each section of the bunny onto colored/patterned paper. If you like the examples with patterned paper but do not have any you can make your own.
Then, glue the sunglasses over the top.
Display and admire!
If you create a funky egg character please take a picture for Mrs. Schmidt to see on the padlet.
Instructions:
Print egg and facial pieces. If you do not have a printer you can draw on white paper.
Decorate the egg using any materials or techniques that appeal to you, then cut it out.
Select and decorate the facial features and the other elements that you wish to add to your egg, then cut them out.
Paste the facial features and other elements onto the egg.
Mount the finished Funky Egg artwork onto a colored piece of paper to display in the classroom.
Note: As a fun alternative, the gloves and shoes could be attached to arms and legs made from accordion-folded strips of paper. Funky Eggs made this way look great hanging in a line across the room!
Materials needed:
black glue (white Elmer's glue + black acrylic paint)
clear plastic (from an empty plastic container, a plastic folder or an empty laminated pouch)
sharpies (the more colors the better!)
If you create any sun-catchers I would love to see your creations! Please post some pictures on this padlet!
Mrs. Schmidt will be adding books daily to the read aloud section. Take some time to listen to a book or 2. Afterwards you can create something special based on what you read or share with your family.
Many museums are offering virtual viewing. I have linked many on our site. Enjoy the stroll through the museum. Remember not to touch anything! hehe
