By: Fatima Zahra Chraoua and Bella Pelosi
A service dog is a highly trained dog that performs tasks for individuals with disabilities. These disabilities including physical, sensory, psychiatric, or intellectual impairments. This is very helpful to these people because if you're far away from a refrigerator or you fall down, these animals help to make their humans more independent and happier!
A service dog goes through intense training to help people who can't quite do the things we can do. They run and jump through obstacle courses. They find their way in houses, and climb trees, mountains, and go through ruined building to find lost people. Service dogs are amazing to be able to help humans and be adorable! a editor of the newspaper has her very own service dog.
