Want to get into reading but never had a book to read, and didn't know how to get started? Well, I have collected the best books I have read this season for your enjoyment. From powers, to magical games, to billions of dollars, these books are worth your time reading!
Powerless, by Lauren Roberts. This is a two perspective story about Prince Kai Azer and Paedyn Gray. The kingdom of Illya is made up of Elites, humans with special abilities and powers. Paedyn is faking an ability, and Kai, Illya's future Enforcer, was trained to kill all Ordinaries, like Paedyn. She is put into the Purging Trials, and has to lie her way through the interviews and fights. Because while everyone has a power to hide behind, Paedyn is completely powerless.
I give Powerless a 5/5 stars, and would definitely recommend it.
Caraval, a novel written by Stephanie Garber, is a magical tale from the perspective of Scarlett Dragna, who has always wanted to experience Caraval. Caraval is a mystical game orchestrated by the famous Legend. One day, Scarlett and her sister, Tella, are invited to come to Caraval. There is only one rule. Remember, it is only a game, and nothing is really as it seems.
The Inheritance Games, by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, is about a girl named Avery Grambs, who is pretty poor, lost her mother, and lives with her sister. That is, until one day she is told by a guy named Grayson Hawthorne to go to the will reading of the late Tobias Hawthorne, because she is, apparently, in the will. Throughout the book, Avery has to solve puzzles and master riddles to find out why she was chosen as the Hawthorne heiress.
I give the Inheritance Games a 4/5 stars, and would definitely recommend it.
