Project-Based Learning
Project-based learning (PBL) is a method by which students solve real-world problems and/or engage in projects that relate to their personal interests and concerns. Through PBL, students are encouraged to collaborate, learn from each other, and challenge their own thinking. Throughout the year, we will use PBL to dive into complex, meaningful questions and will work together to come up with creative solutions and designs to solve or respond to those problems.
STE(A)M-Focused
Our projects are designed with a strong focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics. Students might explore circuitry and coding through video game design using micro:bit and Microsoft MakeCode Arcade, tackle real-world innovation in a Shark Tank-inspired entrepreneurship challenge, or design an original country with its own unique culture, economy, and geography. These experiences challenge students to think like engineers, artists, designers, and critical thinkers, all while building creativity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of how their ideas can impact the world around them.
