Welcome to the Gifted & Talented program at Watertown City School District! 

Our Mission

Our program aims to ensure that all gifted students in our district are recognized and supported. We aim to accurately and equitably identify gifted and talented students from all backgrounds. Through specified programming, students will receive opportunities that match their strengths and address their social and emotional needs, fostering a mindset of lifelong learning. Our program will help students explore and expand their interests while developing professional skills.

Our Focus

Currently, we serve students in grades 6 & 7. We provide STEM-focused project-based learning (PBL) opportunities daily for 40 minutes, as well as offer opportunies to address the unique social-emotional needs of our gifted population. Students might find themselves coding video games, pitching innovative business ideas, or tackling real-world challenges—all while developing confidence, collaboration, and curiosity.
