Our identification process includes screening for all students, including Engligh language learners and students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans. Identification is based on multiple criteria, taking into consideration student academic, creative, artistic, and leadership abilities. 

Identification Criteria

• Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT 8)

• Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence (WASI)

• NYS Math State Test score (4th grade)

• iReady Math Diagnostic data

• Gifted Evaluation Scale

Program Selection

• Currently, the identification process occurs in 5th grade

• All criteria points are collected and the committee determines eligibility

• Families are notified of selection

• Programming begins at the start of the following school year
