MISSION STATEMENT

The Washougal High School Counseling Program empowers all students to take ownership of their academic and social/emotional development, by meeting and knowing students on an individual level while providing unconditional advocacy. WHS Counseling team is committed to students having equitable access to all post-secondary opportunities, and graduating WHS with the skills and confidence to rise through challenges and adversities.

WHS Counseling Team is committed to upholding the ethical and professional standards of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) and promoting the development of our school counseling program based on the ASCA National Model.

VISION STATEMENT

Graduates of Washougal High School possess both the academic and social/emotional skills to prepare them for a range of post-secondary opportunities. WHS Panthers are resilient problem solvers who persevere and rise through challenges and adversities. As they embark into the world, Graduates will carry the self-compassion, empathy, and confidence to create the change they wish to see.
