Students who meet one of the following requirements are automatically enrolled in College Bound:
Students who are in public school and eligible for free and reduced-price lunch in 7th, 8th or 9th grade.
Students who are in state foster care or a dependent of the state between 7th grade and high school graduation.
Some students do not fit into either scenario but are interested in applying for College Bound. Students and families can contact the College Bound program to apply if they meet one of the following criteria:

Are in another type of foster care and not eligible for free and reduced-price lunch.

If you want TEACHERS/STAFF/COUNSELORS to write letters of recommendations for you, please do the following:
Write your name, the name of the college/scholarship and the due date on the Senior Information Sheet, and submit form to your counselor/teacher.
Check back with the recommender to be sure they’ve completed their part.
Say thank you. Write thank you notes to those who have written letters of recommendation for you.
Think very carefully about who would be able to write the strongest, most detailed letters of recommendation for you.
Ask early. THREE WEEKS ahead (two weeks minimum) is not too early. Teachers/counselors have a heavy load and may not be able to handle all requests, particularly those that come in at the last minute. Furthermore, a well-written letter of recommendation takes careful thought, so they need time to do them.
We appreciate your help in making this job go smoothly. Good luck, and be sure to let your recommenders know the outcome of your applications.
